Mr. Alimi served at various capacities in the Lagos State Treasury Office. He was a Senior Accountant  in Bank Reconciliation Unit between June 2001 – December 2003, Chief Accountant,  Local GovernTent Joint Allocation Account Unit (2008 – 2011), Assistant Director, Banking Relations and Investments (2012 – 2015), Deputy Director, Treasury Operations (2015-2020).

In January 2020, he was deployed Director of Finance & Accounts,  to the   Lagos StateTeaching Service Commission.
