Born on January 12, 1967, to the Afowosire royal family of Late Professor Olaitan Olatunde Olatunji Mrs Adenike Olatunji of Ilese-Ijebu/ Lugbusi-Agunfoye and Ketu in Lagos State respectively, Olubusola Abidakun had her primary school education at Abadina Primary School in the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, before proceeding to St. Louis Convent School, Ibadan or her secondary education between 1978 and 1984.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Linguistics at the University of Ibadan in 1989, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (HR) obtained from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in 2001 and an additional Master’s degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from the University of Lagos in 2016. She was a student at the intensive 1-month leadership programme of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru in 2021 and she made Lagos State proud with her exceptional results.

In October 2021, she was amongst the few officers nominated for the Executive Leadership Certificate Programme at the LASU/CORNELL University where she excelled at record time.

Prior to joining the Lagos State Public Service, Olubusola had eleven (11) years’ work experience at different sectors ranging from Advertising, Manufacturing and Banking.

Olubusola joined the prestigious Lagos State Public Service in March 2002 and in her twenty years (20) career trajectory, traversed:

  • Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions
  • Deputy Governor’s Office
  • Ministry of Transportation
  • Project Implementation & Monitoring Unit (Governor’s office)
  • Ministry of Home Affairs
  • Central Business District
  • Lagos State Judiciary
  • Teaching Service Commission
  • Ministry of Health

Based on her exemplary result-oriented job performance, and sterling leadership traits, she was sponsored by the State Government to be trained as an international Coach and she became a chartered ICF professional Coach in 2020.

She is a Game Changer of structures and processes, a career coach of repute, and she hosts the ‘Moments with Coach B.A’ sessions over the telegram to her several mentees within and outside the public sector.

This Change Agent enigma is versatile in the entire HR Value Chain. A catalyst for future of work in the NOW, and a lover of culture in its entirety.

Olubusola is happily married and is blessed with godly children and grandchildren.
