Mrs. Adijat Kuburat Hassan was born on the 17th of January, 1965 at Ojo Road Ajegunle, Lagos State. She was born to the family of Mr. Seidu Lasisi and Mrs. Jemilat Seidu of Iwerekun, Ibeju-Lekki (EPE) Local Government of Lagos State.
She had her primary education at African One Primary School, Ajegunle in 1977 and proceeded to Ejigbo Community High School, Lagos State where she obtained her WASC in 1983. She was the Senior Girl in her set due to her outstanding academic performance.
She proceeded to Lagos State University, Ojo as one of the pioneer set in 1984 and graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Political Science in 1988. She also obtained M.ED in Curriculum Studies from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (1998) and M.Sc. in Political Science from University of Lagos (2005). She is currently on her Ph.D. programme in Political Science at the University of Ilorin.
She was employed by Lagos State Teaching Service Commission in 1991 and was posted to Gaskiya College, IjoraBadia to teach Government/Social Studies. In 1995, she moved to Lagos State College of Primary Education, Noforija to become a Lecturer. She is currently a Chief Lecturer in Political Science Dept. at the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Noforija, Epe. She has 25 Publications to her credit and series of awards one of which was ‘Dean of the Year’ 2013. Mrs. AdijatKuburatOluwakemi is happily married to Alhaji B. O. Hassan a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and blessed with children and grandchildren.
