MACHADO-ONANUGA TAKES CHARGE AS PERMANENT SECRETARY, TESCOM

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), on Monday, assumed office with a promise to harness and maximise the human and material resources of the Commission towards achieving the State government’s vision for the education sector.

Machado-Onanuga who disclosed this while speaking at the warm reception organised to welcome her by staff, expressed her appreciation to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for the confidence reposed in her to take the Commission to greater heights in the scheme of things. 

“I have been appointed and deployed here by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to optimally harness and maximise the human and material resources of the Commission and see to it that TESCOMrealises the Greater Lagos vision”, she revealed. 

The Permanent Secretary, therefore, solicited for the concerted efforts of the Chairman, TESCOM, Board Members as well as all staff of the Commission to collectively support her in improving the quality of teaching and learning outcomes in the State. 

Earlier, the Chairman, Teaching Service Commission, Mrs. Elizabeth Olabisi Ariyo, who led others to welcome the new Permanent Secretary, noted that her appointment is in recognition of her meritorious public service career and immense cognate experience.

Ariyo said: “On behalf of myself, Board Members and Staff, I wish you great wisdom, knowledge and understanding to discharge your assignments dutifully and successfully”. 

Until her appointment as Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Toyin Olamide Machado-Onanuga was the Head, Public Service Standard and Performance (PSSP) Department in the Public Service Office, Office of the Head of Service.
